CFAI AND BUNABUYOKA VILLAGE
Christian Faith in Action International first came to Bunabuyoka village in 2008 as a missionary group and seeing the great unexploited potential in this community, we decided to fully extend our operations there.

Our vision for Bunabuyoka village is to identify her vulnerable and accord them with means to help them realize their potential for growth and development to enhance self-reliance.

The first step was to liberate this community through education empowerment and the "Zion project" comprising of a Nursery and Primary education center designed to offer education to school going age pupils and illiterate adults willing to learn. Other initiatives includes;

(i) Evangelism through mobilization conferences, sunday school empowerment.
(ii) Charity in forms of scholastic material donations, clothing, food, Vegetable seeds, pesticides.
(iii) Promotion of Health and Sanitation through awareness and sensitization seminars on personal hygiene,nutrition, pre & post natal care, family planning, HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
(iV) Promotion of talents and giftings through formation of an upcoming dance and childrens chior.
(V) Promotion of enviromental conservation through tree and flower planting.
(Vi) Prmotion of Development sensitization and enterprenuership skills through clubs and many other development skills.

WHAT HOPE DOES IN UGANDA - "EDUCATION HOPE"

Hope is a positive expectation of the unseen future, a motivational and sustainance force that gives one reason to persist in any undertaking. A person without hope is lifeless and vulnerable for he/she has no clear expectation of the future and therefore us full of fears and uncertainities.

Illiteracy is one of the major causes of poverty and is manifested in many different forms as unemployment, primitive farming methods, malnutrition, land fragmentation to mention a few. In Uganda today, poverty is the consequent number one cause of "hopelessness."

Administering education as empowerment and a weapon against poverty can be successful and a potential antidot for HOPE in today's Uganda. This is because through education, the vulnerable people in communities are enabled to realize their potential for growth and development which enhances self reliance.

Uganda as a country has various exploited resources which can easily be seeded to yield great economic returns through improved household incomes and boosted government revenues. As the saying goes; "40 days without FOOD, 4 days without WATER, 4 minutes without AIR but not 4 seconds without HOPE!"

We at CFAI believe in HOPE and are committed to go an extra mile to export it to the unreached and untouched peoples, in all it's forms in a bid to give life!
